John Meredith is an expert in work-related and workplace-based education and training, with more than 20 years of experience developing, implementing, and analyzing applied learning programs and policies in Canada and abroad. He holds a Ph.D. in Educational Studies from the University of British Columbia as well as degrees in the social sciences and specialized certificates in adult education. A certified and experienced tradesman, his work is grounded in a hands-on familiarity with industrial processes and workplace realities. As a consultant, facilitator, and researcher, his products include curriculum materials, policy analyses, and peer-reviewed scholarly publications using multiple research methods. Recent work has included several large studies of issues in skilled trades and apprenticeship.
